2 Weeks

As if I wasn't stressing out enough, I just realized I leave in EXACTLY 2 weeks from today! AAAHH!
I know that this is right for me! But why do I feel so nervous and unprepared? Every one keeps telling me that is the reason missionaries go to the MTC first. I think I just need to take a deep breath.Once I'm home (see below) and  can actually do my own stuff I think I won't be as stress--Or maybe I'll be more stressed. We'll see :)
Anyway.

This week I'm watching my 4 cousins while my aunt and uncle are in Hawaii. It's been fun, but stressful too. Last night was so funny! The three boys and I were driving to my house and jamming out to some awesome music. (i.e. Indiana Jones, Star Wars, I Like to Move It, Move It, and Who Let the Dogs Out.) With every new song the boys would bust a cool move.[Lets be honest. I was busting moves too. but mine were like tapping the steering wheel or fist pumping since I was driving.] We stopped at a stop light and I happened to glance to the left and the car next to us was watching us. I quickly looked away laughing. I looked back a minute later and they were laughing really hard. At first I was embarrassed and then I let it go. I busted a move so they could see. Then to my surprise, they joined me! It was great. The Raymond boys and I know how to start a party! :)
Dang it! I'm gonna miss my family so much! Especially all my cousins. They are going to be so grown up. My Maddy girl just turned 5 and will start Kindergarten in August. When I get home she will have just started 1st grade. Her brother Ben will be 4 1/2. My own brother will be a Senior! AAAH! Life will be so different! But I'm  sure it will still be good!

Yours truly,
The almost Sister Misdom

Called to serve

I have been called.
I have a testimony.
 I am ready...
Well almost-- just need to go shopping!!!!
I have been called to labor in the Virginia Richmond mission!
I leave February 27, 2013.
Ever been to Virginia? I haven't I have no idea what to expect!
I did research.
I've had my call for like 10 hours and I've already tripled my knowledge AND excitement!!!!
Here, look;

I am excited for all of the rich history Virginia holds! Can I just say how much that some time in my 18 months I hope I can visit this place:
Picture here.
(Blogging from iPad= only links, no pictures. Sorry.)
I love the building. I learned about it in my humanities class in our architecture section.
Way way cool! It belonged to Thomas Jefferson!
AND Charlottesville is in my mission area. It is a big area. Like most of Virginia, a little bit of West Virginia and North Carolinna.  So chances of me going  here aren't great but it could happen. Can not wait to learn more and finally get out there!

69 days.
Yet again... A count down.
Virtual style.
I'm sure a real one will be coming shortly!

Anticipation

...............................

i hope i can make it.
I have to make it!
Minutes seem like hours, hours seem like months.
Tomorrow will be worse. I don't know what I'm going to to do when hours feel like years.
I have NEVER been this excited/ anxious/ nervous/happy
about something in my WHOLE life!
My destiny lies in a big white envelope that will come tomorrow.
I will open it at 5.
Expect news by 5:30 at the latest.
I'm going to go wrap presents, make cake pops, and do everything I can to pass the time.
Hopefully I will be able to sleep tonight. I couldn't last night until like 2:30.

Ice Ice Baby.

Well, that went about as well as bleeding in a shark tank. I guess I'll scratch that idea.
In other news...
I kinda lived this song today. I was driving home from school, the roads had some snow on them and I wanted to get home so I thought of that saying that people sometimes say in Utah. You know the one "in the snow it's safer to drive on the freeway because there are more people traveling and less snow." Well that is the last time I listen to that 'logical fallacy'. I was getting on the freeway from Center Street in Orem. The van in front of me was slow and I was impatient. I waited for a semi to pass me so I could cut over to the 3rd lane to pass the van. This is when things went wrong. My truck started to slip. I spun around. Everything I learned in drivers ed started coming back to me. "DON'T slam on the break, pump them!" "Don't over correct" (which is what I started out doing but then I remembered) "Turn the steering wheel the opposite way." So I did it. I surprised now that I could. I was in shock. I was thinking "I've never been in an accident before. Oh my gosh! How can this be happening!" Then I remember seeing the barrier coming closer and closer and then I said out loud, pleading to my Father in Heaven, "please." I know this is totally cliche, but I really did see my life flash before my eyes. My fear was gone. I felt peace. It was weird. But then I turned the wheel just slightly and my truck stopped. I was stopped inches away from the barrier but out of all the lanes. I was safe. I don't know how it happened. I took a deep breath and then looked in the mirror to make sure that I hadn't cause an accident or anything. Nothing. Cars were just starting to come up. Hundreds of cars coming, just driving along. I looked forward trying to catch my breath. Then I looked back and saw a truck blocking the 3rd and part of the 4th lane. They had done what I did, but they hadn't been as lucky. Another car had hit them. If I would have been 20 seconds slower, I would have been hit. I more then likely would be in the hospital. My truck could have been totaled.
I have never been so thankful for my lord, savior, and Heavenly Father in my whole life. Timing was perfect, I've had some very spiritual things that I have been working through this week. The gist of it all is that I have been working on 100% submitting myself to the Lord. Abiding by HIS plan. This was the last straw on he camels back. I needed a wake up call. I needed to remember him. I am grateful for this scary experience. I know the Lord loves me and he really, truly has a plan for me! It is NOT my plan, but it is his and it is PERFECT!
Moral of the story folks? 1. DON'T drive in the snow unless you HAVE to, and if you do, be careful. Don't try to speed around people. Drive safely and slowly. 2. Trust the lord with all your might, mind, and strength. His plan is right and you will indeed be blessed by him. He knows what is right, We just have to trust him.

"There's so much to be thankful for"

Um.. Yeah
Just listen.

Um Yeah! awwwe. Lets hear it again. :) I LOVE this man so much! This is {one of} my favorite songs.
Did I mention how attractive I think he is?
No? Well... Yeah. Lets just say I would take him in a heartbeat even if he was born 12 years before me...

Gratitude 11&12

Sunday was the BEST day! So awesome! 1st of all I got to go to not one, not two, but THREE Primary Programs! So fantastic! I love primary programs too much. I cry every time but that's okay. I blew off my own ward for it, its fine. It was better anyway ;) That is what I was grateful for yesterday! I was also grateful for the chance I had to spend half the day with the sweetest 4 week old baby! He was adorable! My mom has a client who is just a little bit older than me, it was her baby. He is really colicky and cries a lot so my mom offered to take him for the day so she could have a break. It was good for everyone I think. The parents, grandparents, and great grandparents got a break from the crying, my mom and I got to cuddle a baby all day, and my mom did some BodyTalk on the baby and rubbed some DoTerra oils on his feet and it calmed him down! It is so amazing to me what energy work can do. The best part of that was that we get him every Sunday now! That will be so much fun! I love babies!

Today I am grateful for Gloves, my coat, heaters, warm socks, and hot chocolate! It has been SOOOOOOO cold today! If today is any indication as to how this winter is going to be, I think I'll pack my bags up and head out to live with my Aunt Tonia in Hawaii! It is WAY to stinkin' cold here! I was talking to my friend Lance today and I was saying something about how I was freezing. He laughed at me and said "You're going to go to Alaska for your mission." Ha! as much as I loved Alaska, I hope he is wrong! I don't know if I could handle all the snow.

This week is going to FanTabUlous! Tomorrow is the BIG-ish day. Meeting with the bishop! :) Then I just have to get through Wonderful working Wednesday, Tired Thursday, and Finally Friday. Then I'm off to visit my buddies in EPHRAIM! I NEVER EVER in a Million years thought that I would be excited to go to Ephraim. But I miss my buddies and I'll get to hang out with a few of them which will be fun!

Well folks, TTFN; Ta Ta for now.

Days 7-10 of Gratitude

Day 7
I'm grateful for my education! Sometimes I hate school! Its repetitive and its hard! BUT I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to go to school and college. I know that it will bless me more than I know! I know that I will be even more grateful for it one day when I'm working or helping my own kids with homework etc.

Day 8
This might seem weird but I am thankful for Technology. Seriously. The world would be a completely different place without it! I use WAY TOO MUCH technology

i.e; My cell phone, my laptop, My TV/ Netflix, my iPod, and Horizon- the program I use at work. + Many more things!

Day 9
FOOD! I love food and I am so blessed to have it all around me! I've started a Gluten free diet this week just because we think I might have a slight allergy to it and BOY do I realize how grateful I am for food in general not just food without wheat flour. (But I will say gluten free brownies are DeLiGhTfUl! Yum!) I know how lucky my family is not to have to worry about how to pay for food with everything else. Even when I was away at school I knew that if things got any worse with my money situation, I could have called my parents and they could have bought me some groceries (not saying that they didn't do that out of the goodness of their hearts just because when I would come home to visit anyway (-: )

Day 10
This is really silly but I am EXTREMELY glad this happened today;

*****Attention Students*****
There is a problem with Canvas I am unable to publish Party #2.
Currently there is no one available on campus to assist me.  I will have to wait until Monday to correct the problem. I apologize for the inconvenience.  I know How much you wanted to party this weekend.
That was seriously AMAZING! I have been stressing over this test and I didn't want to take it today but now I get to wait which means more study time!
OH P.S. My teacher is funny and he likes to call Tests Parties. I'm not really sure why but he does. So that's what this announcement really means.

So There is what I'm grateful for today BUT I also want to share this because its really awesome;

THIS MEANS THAT MY BISHOP HAS LOOKED OVER EVERYTHING (-my dental records after the picture) I AM SO STINKIN' CLOSE! :)
I am a little impatient but I know that its all in the lords time and it will get done when it's right. Just exciting!

That's all for now.
