Gratitude

Well as you can see this 30 days of gratitude this is working out really well... Good thing I can make up for it.
Day 3. I am grateful for my job. I am so lucky to work at a place that I really like. It's not too stressful and I am contributing to the community. That's always a nice feeling! Sometimes I don't like dealing with the people when they are upset but over all it is still good. My boss is easy going, understanding, and honestly the sweetest person EVER! Seriously if you don't know her, then you need to come to the Pleasant Grove Library and introduce yourself to her because she will make you feel like a million bucks!

Day 4. I am grateful for my parents. I know I already said I'm grateful for my family but my parents need their own special thanks (especially because the 4th was their anniversary.)
My dad is strict but only because he cares. I am so glad that he is my dad. We are a lot alike so we fight a lot because we are strong willed. He is one of the funniest people I know. I wish I was funnier like him. He is the biggest prankster too! I cannot tell how many times he comes home and tells me the pranks that him and his friends play on each other at work. He loves to laugh, teach, and help others improve their lives. I love him.
This is my favorite picture of us! It's weird because of the colors but I still think it is sweet. It was just a random picture we took while playing with the iPad and it turned out adorable.

My mom. What can I say about her? She is my best friend in the whole world!!!!! I love her SO SO SO much! I tell her EVERYTHING! (sometimes too much). She always supports me in what I do. She makes me laugh harder than anyone else. We can be serious, funny, nerdy, whatever! We are honest with each other even if the other doesn't really want to hear it. I am extremely grateful that she is my mother. I would be so lost without her! I know that my Father in Heaven knew about our special bond and put us together on this earth!  And I thank him everyday for that!

Day 5 I am thankful for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am SO proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I would be so lost if I didn't have the church. My plans in life would be different (ha ha especially in a couple months-- I wouldn't be off on a mission.) I KNOW that the church is true! I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and his atonement. I know that all of my sins are forgiven of me if I repent. I know that Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son in the Sacred Grove. I know that The Book of Mormon is true. The words are real and everything in it is too. The most important thing I've learned by being a member of the church is that God is loving and caring! He loves me and each and every person on this earth with an unimaginable amount of love! He created me body and spirit. I am perfect right now right here because God made me! I am so grateful for that love!

Day 6. I am grateful to live in this free country! I am thankful for the opportunities that are given to me here, especially as a woman! Not too long ago women didn't have the right to even vote. They hardly have a voice at all.

Now women vote, work, and do things that 100 years ago they didn't even dream would happen. I am grateful for that. I have so many other things too. I have the opportunity to worship freely. I can get married in the temple and have the government recognize it as a real marriage, most other places don't have that. In America I happily live in an industrialized world where I have luxuries like a house with heating and cooling, I have a car, I have a job, I have a cell phone. I have SO much because of this country. BUT I must add to this that I have this too because of the countless men and women who have risked their lives to gain and protect that freedom. I am grateful for all of them and their families! I know what it is like to have a dad gone in the military. It is hard and I am thankful for all other people who risk their lives to protect mine. It means more to me then words can say.
Oh yeah-- GO VOTE! Can't wait to find out the results tonight. It might be a long night. Ha ha.
