Space and I

Anyone who knows me well, would know that I LOVE space! (Love is not even a good word. It is more than love.) I love to look at stars, and I love learning about space. BUT they would also know that I HATE science. I know it seems a little contradictory, But I'm just not into physics, and chemistry, and math stuff. I like to stay AWAY from that. So anyway, the reason I bring this up is because today, AUGUST 6, 2012 marks a big day for the USA, the world, and me too I guess. Today NASA landed a rover on Mars. "The Curiosity" So watch the clip below.

Don't you just want to jump up and down with 'em? Don't your eyes start to water? Don't you feel the pride that all of those workers feel? No? Just me? Well... That is the ONLY reason I would ever want to change my major, work REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hard to work for NASA and be apart of something like that, well and, ya know... Maybe take off in a rocket and orbit the earth. No big deal. I would risk my life for that opportunity. No joking.
Alright well anyways. If you want to know more about this mission and stuff here is a link to KSLs website and some good clips that explain the mission.
Also if you want to know some majestic places to go or things to watch to learn about space here are a few of my personal favorites;
1. The Museum of Flight Aviation History-- This is SERIOUSLY my favorite place on the planet!! BUT... it is in Seattle Washington. Kinda far away. But if you are ever in the area. GO!
3. The Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center um yeah. This is the coolest experience ever. They teach you about space and then you go on a space simulator. AWESOME!
4. Clark Planetarium-- pure awesomeness! Also where I got my LEGIT Astronaut pen. Just saying. Its cool!
See...

It's cool!-- and now you want one too
5.BYU Planetarium- They show you constellations and stuff!
6. Mrs. Sumsion's 6th grade class at Mt. Mahogany Elementary. Sorry to all of you who will never be able to enjoy her company. She is an awesome person/ teacher! She is the one who got me into space.
7. The movie October Sky. If you haven't seen it. That doesn't surprise me, but find it and watch it, or talk to me and I'll let you borrow my copy.
8. Angels and Airwaves.My favorite band. Just listen, close your eyes and you will feel like you are flying through the darkness looking out at the vast open atmosphere. Yeah. It's good stuff.

Okay well I guess I'll be done with space... for now. I'm looking forward to sharing about my trip to Yellow Stone this weekend and School starting in 3 weeks! Exciting! (I'm taking an astrology class :D hehe) Can't wait but I'm sad to see summer end.
